If you suffer from loud snoring or never feel like you get a good night’s sleep,
you may have undiagnosed sleep apnea. Many patients with sleep apnea suffer from symptoms such as morning headaches, mood swings, or insomnia but don’t know what is causing it. We offer sleep apnea treatment at our practice after we have had a chance to assess symptoms and review your oral health.

Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder where you stop breathing for short periods of time. If left untreated, this condition can be dangerous to your health and poses a serious health risk. Poor breathing and a lack of sleep can affect your waking hours and also make it difficult to maintain a healthy sleep schedule. You may be at risk for sleep apnea if you are over the age of 40 or are obese.

Sleep Apnea Testing
We use the SGS pharyngometer to provide us with valuable information about the structure of the nasal passages and airways. It helps us determine whether you may have difficulty breathing because of constricted airways and if there are any obstructions that might be compromising your ability to breathe and sleep. The pharyngometer helps us rule out which patients will not benefit from an oral appliance.
